PROJECTS THAT REQUIRE A BUILDING PERMIT
A BUILDING PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Driveway Replacement
- Screen Door Replacement
- Deck - low to the ground (30" or below) and sitting on blocks
- Fences 6 feet high and under - City Code: Fences & Screening
- Installation of chain link fences
- Sheds (200 square feet or smaller)
- Installation of movable cases, counters, and/OR partitions not over 5 feet 9 inches high
- Platforms, walks, and driveways not over 30 inches above grade and not over a basement or story below
- Cosmetic: painting, wallpapering, paneling, replacing cabinets
- temporary stage sets and scenery
- gutters
- installing carpeting or other flooring
- window awnings not projecting more than 54 inches
- prefabricated above grade swimming pools of a capacity of 5,000 gallons or less
